Since my laptop is not connecting with its usual xircom card (dual function as modem and ethernet) and I upgrade the driver on my installation of Windows Millenium since XP Pro catched a virus which my antivirus Norton couldn't quarantined or clean and it forced me to reformat the hard drive and installed this operating system should I reinstall the XP Pro?
Windows XP Pro was working fine 'til the incident...but know I 'm think was vulnerable so I went on to Millenium (and was the OEM that I had in the first place) that's the reason why I used it. Please advise as soon as possible, and thanks to whoever advise me!! |

I'd say yes, any upgrade away from MIllenium is a good move. XP may have the drivers built in for your modem/network card

You could install XP Pro on another partition, and have a dual-boot, too, --- if you'd like to try that.

If you do go dual-boot, format both partitions FAT32, that way you can access the XP partition from ME and vice-versa otherwise XP can access the ME partition but ME can't access the XP partition as it does'nt support NTFS.
