RUNDLL Error loading,,,
WHen I start my computer a window pops up saying:
RUNDLL Error loading C:\WINDOWS\javait.dll THe specified module could not be found. This started after I deleted 2 items using HiJack This, they were spyware, I wish I remember what they were, but I'm 99.9% sure they were both spyware. The computer seems to run fine, I'd like to get rid of the pop up windows when it starts up.

javai.dll maybe? Its a java runtime file. Try reinstalling java.
A reg cleaner might help as well and can't hurt. Spybot, reg supreme... trying running those or similar programs if youre getting pop-ups at boot up. The pop-ups may not be software driven from you hdd though- could be from your isp. What isp/connection is it? |

You've probably already figured this out, but the message is showing up because C:\WINDOWS\javait.dll is the file you deleted. It could have been part of java, but could also have been part of a spyware package impersonating a legitimate java dll. The direct reason for the popup is because of a startup command that windows is trying to run.
You can use regedit to look in your registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. On the right side, you'll see commands that are run when windows starts. Find the one that says javait.dll in it and delete it. If it's not there, look at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run for the same thing. Working on your registry can cause problems if you monkey with the wrong parts, but this is a pretty low-risk change. If you don't feel comfortable working with it directly, look for a freeware tool to let you change the programs that run at startup. |
