Question 32 or 64 bit for my needs?

Hello.

I will soon build a new pc for video production.

I work heavily with Adobe's Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, and Premier.

I also occasionally use 3D animation software such as Maya.

My question is this: should i get the 32 or the 64 bit version of Vista?

I plan to use an [nForce 680i LT SLI 775 T1] motherboard with the Intel Core 2 Extreme processor, and a GeForce 8800 GT video card.
This will allow me to get up to 8GB of RAM.

From what i understand, the 64 bit version of Vista will allow me to take advantage of the ram, while the 32 bit version doesn't use more than 4GB.
But should i be concerned that my software will be incompatible (along with hardware drivers and so on)?

Could someone please help me understand the advanages/disadvantages of 32 bit vs. 64 bit. in my case?

Many thanks in advance!

I would go with 32bit. 64bit is not quite ready for primetime.

All I will say is this. If you have newer hardware, then the drivers should be available. Personally, I wouldn't worry about that then.

As for software, I would check out the software manufactures website and see if they're compatible with vista 64.

After that, it becomes a judgement call for you.

Flash is strictly 32 bit last time I checked, although people have been complaining about getting a 64 bit implementation of flash for some time.

Well, yeah, i read that adobe's CS 3 is built for a 32-bit OS.

My main concern is my RAM.
Obviously, the more RAM i have, the better for rendering and stuff, i just need to figure out if i'll be able to take advantage of 8GB using adobe's software. or should i just get 4GB and not worry aobut that for now...?
