Vista Graphics
Can someone tell me if the different versions of Vista have any effect on graphic performance? My software dealer is telling me that there is, I’m not so sure. I have Vista Home Premium and wondering if I should upgrade to Vista business to get over some compatibility issues with one of my CAD programs. I have a 8800 GTS and one program either doesn’t like the card or Vista or both. The card and program worked fine in XP Pro.

I doubt there is a difference in graphics between vista versions, with the only exception being vista basic which doesn't have aero effects. Ultimate is supposed to have some extra stuff, but nothing that would make or break a program.
I would look at the software manufacturers website and see if they have a vista compatible version, or a patch.

Thank you Lespaul20, this gives me some ammunition to fire back at my CAD software dealer that repeats this dogma that Vista doesn’t support Open GL.
