You should be able to just pop in the xp cd and format then install from there.

If Toshiba has XP drivers for your laptop, you should be able to do it by booting from CD (hold down C at the TOSHIBA screen, or hit F12 and select the CD icon with the arrow keys). Be careful to check that the drivers are available first though -- I know HP no longer provides XP drivers for its Vista systems, but I'm not sure about Toshiba.

And I'm moving this to the Vista forum.

Is in Vista such thing as UNgrade to XP? I'v heart about it. Usually I uninstall Windows from DOS OS, and I never had any problems. And try to change your boot settings in BIOS to "boot from CD". Than put CD to drive and try to install XP.

Good luck!

My back, legs and feet are sore. I could use a good massage. Now I know how. ;-)
