Vista Ultimate

Windows Vista keeps changing my desktop resolution from 1680x1050 to 600x800 when ever it recovers from the screen saver or I log off a game. I try to reset it back to 1680x1050 but nothing happens unless I reboot the computer but It will change to any other settings than 1680x1050 without haveing to reboot. I have had vista installed for about two weeks now and this just started happening about two days ago.

Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 1
64-bit Operating System
AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-Core 2.30 GHz
Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
ATI 3870 512 x2
Hanns-G 22" Wide Screen LCD HW223

Do you have the proper video drivers installed?

If so, maybe you should try to run a repair on your system on the vista cd to see if it can see something wrong.

Thanks for your help Dave. I went through and found some vista 64 drivers for my monitor. I can now change the settings back to 1680x1050 without rebooting now at lest.
