Can't Boot into Windows

Hi,
I recently set up a dual boot on a single hard drive for Vista and Ubuntu. I decided I didn't like Ubuntu, so I deleted its partition and extended Vista's partition to cover my entire hard drive. However, I have a problem. Now when I turn on my computer, Vista won't boot. Instead, I get a message that says, "GRUB Loading... Please wait... Error 22." Can anyone help me figure out how to get back into Windows so I can use my computer again? Thanks.

Have you tried Vista's startup repair?

thanks. bootrec worked. I used bootrec /fixmbr. I saw fixmbr on another forum, but it didn't explain that I had to type bootrec first. Thanks again.

fixmbr was from the old days of pre-Vista OS .. with Vista there is a unified command bootrec.exe is the new tool that unifies a number of commands that were spread all over the place before. bootrec.exe would be the command and /fixmbr is the option that fixes the master boot record.

Glad it worked for you.
