how should i safely delete Backup on Vista64

last time i messed with it it took a week to reload all the damage.

it seems to back up nothing at 180mb a shot, used up all of D:/

how big should D:/ be.?? i have 30 Gb.. tired of messing with it. i also have RAID1 with 2 500Gb HD's
