Acer 5050 hard drive and vista
I have system disks. I go through the process of a reinstall and everything works until reboot. It does not read into drive. I pulled drive out and formated on my desktop and replaced. I then go through the reinstall process again. Guess what? I end right back into the disks again. What is wrong with my drive. I can see it hooked up to my desktop and when I run acronis disk manager at boot I can see the drive and format it. I can do anything I want with it except have it in my laptop and install the os on it. I also tried it with xp and did a fixboot, fixmbr and formatted. All went well except when I performed fixmbr I did not get the "are you sure" question. It just ignored that. What next?
