PC data transfer
Well soon I will have a new rig running windows vista, and my old computer running xp has many games and files on it that I would like to keep. What is the best way to transfer files from one to the other....
I have heard of laplink and I have heard that it does not work well with vista, I have also heard of Windows Easy Transfer and heard that it works well since it is made by Microsoft. What would ya all recommend that would work with vista? |

Depending on how big the files are, I would use a usb flash drive.
Or, if you have a network setuop, you can just share the folders and copy them over the network.

The built in easy transfer requires a special transfer cable. Cost about $35.00...It will copy over email and account setting type info....
Applications and such will require a reinstall.
