PC data transfer

Well soon I will have a new rig running windows vista, and my old computer running xp has many games and files on it that I would like to keep. What is the best way to transfer files from one to the other....

I have heard of laplink and I have heard that it does not work well with vista, I have also heard of Windows Easy Transfer and heard that it works well since it is made by Microsoft.

What would ya all recommend that would work with vista?

Depending on how big the files are, I would use a usb flash drive.

Or, if you have a network setuop, you can just share the folders and copy them over the network.

The built in easy transfer requires a special transfer cable. Cost about $35.00...It will copy over email and account setting type info....

Applications and such will require a reinstall.
