Vista Freezes on Boot Screen
I have an HP Pavillion dv9000 notebook. I have never had any problems with it. Yesterday I tried turning it on and out of no where it just froze at the boot screen. The progress bar shows and then just freezes everytime i try restarting it. I have no clue what happened it doesnt make sense for it to just do this all of a sudden.
anyone know any solutions to this problem? thanks. |

i downloaded and burnt that to a disc. its a windows vista recovery disc. i put it into my laptop and i boot from disc. it brings me to a screen where it says "Windows is loading files" and a bar on the bottom. after that it brings me to the boot screen and freezes when the progress bar comes up. i think that disc would only work once i got into the system but it keeps freezing before i can get in. any other ideas? |

If you're having issues even with the disc then I would suggest you download, burn, then boot from a memtest cd. Let it complete ALL OF THE TESTS at least 1 time, 2 would be better.
