Hardware or software?
So I just built a new machine and installed Vista Ultimate onto it. Most of the programs I have installed worked without problem but now I am starting to install some of my games that are DirectX 10 compatible. The only one that would work was Call of Duty 4. Any other games, Flight Sim, Bioshock, World in Conflict all have Installshield failures or errors. Now, COD4 will kill its process right after trying to start it. Is this a hardware or software problem? I've tested all of the hardware with Pc-Check and everything checked out, but I just can't figure this one out. Anyone know what the problem is?

As I stated in response to your earlier post, I think your problem is related to the games themselves and you may find a solution on the appropriate gaming forum.

Have you tried turning off the UAC, and then installing?
