Hi folks ...
I have been a long time stuck with this problem and I cant figure out a solution for it .. I even contacted Microsoft support but still waiting .. I hope somebody help here .. after launching the PC (laptop) and after windows loads and I log in the windows after loading by 1 min it freeze for 30sec~ 1 min and back to normal .. its like facing a bottleneck for a moment then go back normally .. another problem too : sometimes when I just boot up the PC I get that screen which asking me to choose "safe mode , safe mode with networking , start windows normally , etc" .. even though I always turn off the PC correctly after closing all applications I used ... dunno why I keep getting that .. my windows is Vista Home Premium SP1. CPU: Pentium Dual core 1.6 GHz RAM: 2 GB GPU: ATi HD2400 HDD: 250 GB application at startup : Kaspersky Internet Security 6 Realtek HD Audio Manager ATi catalyst manager no hardware changes or softwares changes .. all programs I have are the same .. waiting for help .. thanks |

Sometimes mine does that when updating security patches, but never for that long.
Have you run any diagnostics or are there any error messages at all while using windows? Have you run a complete virus/spyware scan? Defrag? If none of the above help, this may be something that requires you to start trouble shooting your laptop one component at a time. Backup all your data and first check the HDD followed by the RAM using memtest.

I would try disabling the Kapersky Internet Security and see if that helps.

I tend to lean in not important`s direction with kaspersky but first I would run msconfig and trim my start up options to the barest minimum. If that doesn`t help, run spybot, then try a reboot. If no luck yet, run hijackthis and go through everything with a fine tooth comb.
