Remote Access of Vista with XP

My daughter recently purchased a new HP laptop that runs Vista 2007 Home Edition and she is currently at school and usually has computer issues I am called upon to assist. Vista is new to me however I figure if I could operate her system I could work out the problem however I don't have access to her computer due to distance. From what I have read I have a hunch that remote access is not available on the home edition. Does anyone know anything different or how this could be accomplished? When I tried to walk my daughter through set up using the Microsoft site, her screen did not match the points I was describing to her to click here, it should say this etc. Thanks.

Should look into LogMeIn for their free version that allows you to connect to her pc...

On Ultimate, the remote settings are @ control panel/system/remote settings. Home edition probably has something similar.

However, I would suggest using logmein https://secure.logmein.com/welcome/g...ree/signup.asp free version. It's easy to install and use and works really well.

** Looks like Ezy beat me to it.**

Logmein works perfectly and is free and easy. Install Logmein on your daughters computer and then from ANY computer go to the Logmein web site and enter your user name and password. You then access 1 or many of your computers.
