Viewing CDFS CD in Vista

Hello
I am running Vista on my Gateway and for some reason having trouble opening a CDFS Cd which has ifilm MRI imaging software on it. I have tried everything but cannot get the computer to recognize it. The CD does open on a laptop running Vista as well as my other computer running XpHome. at this point it is more annoying that I can't find a work around

Thanks

Is this a burned cd-r copy that we're talking about? If so, it's not uncommon for certain cd/dvd drives to not like cd-r media manufactured by a give company or for the same brand cd-r media to work at one point in time and later not work. You can try recopying the cd to a different cd-r brand and see if that works. Better yet, if you have the original cd, use that.

I assume other cds work fine. If not, you have a hardware issue with your optical drive. Other than that, there may be some DRM on the cd in question. A call to the vendor might clear that up if it's an issue.

Have you tried cleaning the optical drive lens with one of those cd/dvd drive cleaner kits? Your drive may just be having problems reading this particular cd for some reason while others read fine. If that's the case, you usually see the drive light stay on for an extended period of time while it tries to repeatedly read the cd.
