Windows Mail Question

I have a dell Vostro 1000 Laptop running Windows Vista Home Premuim. Everytime I try to open Windows Mail, the hard drive spins for a bit then I get a message saying that's its already running, but it won't go to it. I found it in task mannager and ended the task, then tried to reopen it but I still recieved the same message and it still won't open.

Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Have you updated to sp1? If not, that might offer a solution.

I'm installing it now but it seems to be hung up at a black screen with a message box saying
"Personalized Settings

Setting up personalized settings for:
Microsoft Windows Mail 7"

It's been at that screen for the past 15 minutes.

Do you have any security programs running? If so, try turning them off, or uninstalling to see if that fixes the problem.

What else do you have running at the same time?
