Windows Services Error?

Ok, I just got windows Vista the other day. Everything was working great, until I started running updates (I think this is the cause). I installed all the available updates 2 days ago. Then I restarted my computer and everything looked different. The taskbar is gray instead of the regular black vista bar. The gadget bar is gray instead of its usual see through. The icons even look a bit different. When it finished loading, vista flashes and error message in the bottom right of the task bar. It happens so fast I can only read a bit of it but from what I can gather it says "Windows servicing failed to load...." Ive tried turning on and off the computer several times, sometimes it will fix itself. But it always happens again. Any ideas?

I would try to uninstall the updates you installed.

Especially if it was a driver. I wouldn't let windows install drivers.
