I'm tempted to say NA is North America version.

Maybe, perhaps?

Is there such a thing?

You set up your region during install so aren't all copies the same?

I'm inclined to believe it stands for North American region DVD, as in DVD standards, not the actual software.

Whilst I'm not arguing whether or not NA means North American (I have no idea), I thought regional DVD's only applied to movie DVD's (or DVD's designed for use in DVD players)???

I'm sure I could send my Windows Vista DVD anywhere in the world and it would install on any suitable PC?

Just wondering as I never thought of Vista DVD's as being regional.

Well it's either that (maybe something to do with the Media Center?) or as shadowpr said. There most definitely are different versions. French, German, I found one listed as English International.
