what reason would prevent me from keeping a picture as my desktop background. as soon as i cut my computer off, the background leaves.

I've had that happen also. My fix: I make a folder in C:......Windows.....Resources............I name it Wallpaper and put any images I want to use for a background into it.

yep its not there. i thought it was due to active desktop
