On December 2, Microsoft made the latest beta build of SP2 available for download by any TechNet and Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) subscribers.

Likewise. I'd settle for a permanent fix to whatever makes IE7 lock up before I'm worrying about any of that stuff in SP2.

According to them, there's a lot of under-the-hood "improvements".

Also, a big one to note: SP1 will need to be installed prior to installing SP2.

Grab individual parts of SP2 here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../dd335033.aspx - if a fix is recognized/relevant. Probably not a good idea to install randomly.
