using outlook in vista

Hello,
When using outlook with vista I have to enter the password even though I use the setting "save password". The first time I enter it it says "error sending" and then once I close it and press send and receive again it works great. Any suggestions as to why I have to keep doing it this way?

Thank you in advance.

This is what worked for me, I am using Outlook 2003

2. Click on [Start] » Run
3. Type "Regedit" and click [OK]
4. Open the following folder:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders
5. Now choose Edit » New » Expandable String Value
6. Enter "AppData" as a name
7. Double click the new entry
8. Enter "%USERPROFILE%\Application Data" in the value data field.
9. Close the registry editor

Which version of Outlook are you using?
I think either Outlook 2000 or 2002 has a known/unfixable issue with passwords.

I am using Outlook 2003 as I stated in my post.
I might add that this solution also repaired the same problem in Windows Mail.
