Uncluttering the Shut Down Window

I have a ACER laptop with Vista Premium Home Edition. When I click to shut down, I have the options to :
Change user
Hibernate
Sleep
Log off
...among the Shutdown and Restart options.

Are there any registry or settings I can go to to remove the hibernate, sleep, etc options?
TIA Carl

You can change the button to "Shut Down": http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...-to-shut-down/

Thanks not important, but that isn't what I was looking for. When I click the Shut Down button, I wanted to not have to go through all of the selections in the Shut down menu. I followed the instructions in the link you supplied but the Sleep option comes on first and I have to scroll to the Shut down or Restart command.

That should have worked. I usewd that guide and my Power Button is now Red and when I clik it the PC shuts down.
Here's a similar tutorial. http://winhowto.blogspot.com/2007/03...-vista-to.html

Send a message via AIM to Panama Red
You can always go into the bios and set the power option on the power button on the front of the case to Shutdown. Then you don't even need to touch the mouse. Just push the button and walk away.

Got what I wanted with the shut down button. It gives me the option to shut down first and if I want to Restart, I can scroll to get it. Thank you. I saved a couple steps and thats what I wanted.
