Question XP over Vista....?

How do I go about installing window xp over windows vista home basic edition? I don't like this vista os I love the old xp os.

You can't install over....It'll have to be a fresh install...But you must confirm that you can get XP chipset drivers etc before proceeding.

searched and this is all i could find.
can i do the same thing with my laptop? absolutley HATE!!! vista. biggest waste of 0's ever.
"hp pavilion dv 9000" is my laptop.

Did you check the website to see if they have xp drivers?

If so, then you can probably install xp without too many problems.

"the" website? I found out I have to get drivers for it but i dont know where they are and i dont know what site your talking about.

WOW do i need to dl all of them?

possible stupid q here, do i choose xp as my os? even tho it came with vista

you will need to download all the ones for xp if you want to install xp.

Then you will have to save them somewhere, not on the hard drive since it will be formatted when you install xp. I use a usb flash drive.

You will install them after you get xp installed.

And just so you are aware, if you install xp, you will lose everything on the drive. So back up everything you need. I would also have the vista disc handy incase you want/need to install it back.
