BSoD error

Hopefully, this is the right forum for this question...

So, recently, I've been having a few probs with my laptop (Acer Aspire 5610 series), running Vista Home Premium w/ SP1. Mainly, the problem has been this stupid BSoD error that seems to keep happening - probably 5 or 6 times (maybe more) in the past two days. When the computer restarts it tells me Windows can check online for a solution, but when I click "Check for solution" it seems to check and then just closes, so no help there.

Admittedly, this seems to happen almost exclusively when running utorrent, though it has happened once or twice when NOT running the program, plus it doesn't always happen, nor has it happened at all in the past (when running utorrent). Unfortunately, either I miss the Blue Screen or it disappears so quickly that I can't read the screen to see what it says.

Aside from not running utorrent, any ideas about what I can do to fix this? It's getting pretty annoying.

Thanks.

You could try a system restore toa date before this started.

Also, go to control panel > system > advanced system settings > startup and recovery settings > uncheck automatically restart.

That will let you write down the stop code, and post it here so we can hopefully help you out.

Okay, I changed the auto restart setting.

Before I do the system restore (seeing as how I've never done it...or don't remember doing it before), am I going to lose anything? Just wanna make sure. In the meantime, I'm off to crash my computer again!

Okay, here's the msg I got
*************************************************
An unexpected error...

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0xADB96241, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8A873CA4)

*** NETw3v32.sys - Address 8A873CA4 base at 8A804000 DateStamp 45463982

I have no idea what any of that means...

EDIT: Oh, it happened after utorrent had been open and running for about 2.75-3hrs, if that helps

Reinstall your Intel wireless lan driver. You can get the latest version here:
