windows 7 freezing at start-up (sometimes...)

I just built my first PC. I ran Ubuntu 8.10 on it for a while, then switched to windows 7 beta. Everything worked great for almost 2 weeks. The last change I made was installing a D-link wireless PCI adapter. That has worked flawlessly for over a week.

2 days ago, I booted up and it froze at the pulsating windows startup symbol. I tried startup repair...nothing. I then did a system restore...went through but then froze up a few minutes later. I then wiped everything and did another clean install. The same problems continue to occur, even after removing the wireless card (assuming that could be a problem). It is sporadic though...some boots make it much further before the freeze occurs, but it always happens. I have done the memory diagnostics, and every other test that I can find, and there are no problems reported.

What else can I check up on? Could this be a windows 7 problem? Maybe I should try installing Ubuntu again to maybe pin-point it to being a hardware or an OS problem? Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. -nick

Good morning.
List all of your hardware specs in detail.
Have you set your memory modules to their specified timings and voltage?
