Vista Home Premium - compressed folder issue
I installed ZipGenius 6 and it made this my default programme for compressed files. Now if I remove it Vista does not revert back to the old compressed folder method that it had by default. So how do you change it back to use the compressed folder option by default

Might be able to under control panel > default programs
See if you can find something there.

I have looked all over to change this and just cannot find anything. I know how to assign a default program in XP and though this may be along the same lines but nothing

I personally use 7zip, and when installing that, it should let you make it the default.
Not sure if you would want to try that. |

Well I downloaded it and installed it as well but I still get the following when clicking on a zipped file. I need to right click and select the options from the menus.

Is 7-zip the default program?
Might want to run www.ccleaner.com and let it get rid of any left over files from that other zip program. Use the registry scan too. |
