Dual boot system
My PC has multiple problems after a lightning strike.
I need a new machine and plan to buy one with Vista installed. I have heard that this is not backwards compatible. Is this true? Does this mean that I will not be able to install my software that I ran on XP? Whether or not this is the case, I would like to be able to boot up my old xp on the new machine whilst I get it "settled in". I can move the HD out of the old machine into the new. What is the easiest way to set up a dual boot system on Vista? Thanks.... |

Most, if not all, of your XP softwares should work with Vista 32Bit. Many XP drivers will not work but that won't be a problem with a pre-built PC as all of the drivers will come pre-installed.
Installing XP "after" Vista is a littler complicated but it can be done. http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_v...step_guide.htm |
