Why cant i see my computer???
ok, i have a laptop and i main computer connected to the same internet wireless network. They both have the same workgroup name, both are on the same internet connection, both have network discovery turned on, but for some reason when i go on my laptop and then go to network I do not see the other computer..... why is this? what can i do to fix it? thanks
both are running vista home 32 bit |

Do you have file sharing enabled?
Do you have it set to public network? Do both computers have a logon password?

If you have a software firewall installed, uninstall it and use the Vista firewall, configured to allow file and print sharing.

I have it set to "private network" is it supposed to be on public?

It needs to be Private to be able to access other computers on your network.

sorry misread them, they were both set to "private" why is it i cant see the main computer??? i disabled my firewall too...
