Win 7 does not recognize A drive

I have Vista Ultimate on one hard drive and Vista recognizes my "A" floppy drive. I have Win 7 on a second hard drive, but Win 7 does not recognize my floppy drive. Any suggestions, please, Mike

It doesn't show up if you insert a floppy with data?

Beats me. If it works in Vista then it shouldn't be your BIOS. Good luck.

EzyStvy, Thanks for the reply. I checked Device Manager. The floppy drive DOES show up there, however everything looks OK. It tells me the device is working properly, it has a Microsoft driver etc. I even unistalled the device and rebooted. Windows said it found the driver and installed it. But still no floppy drive. Any other suggestions ?? Thanks, Mike

Might try a different drive if you have one.

works great.

Well, you're desperate and running out of ideas so trying a different drive is a worthwhile task
