Vista or 7? If Vista, are you using the HP recovery CD?

Hi

No, i deleted all my partitions and tried to do a clean install of Windows 7, it says it cant locate drivers at installation point. On the other hand in the past XP and Vista have loaded fine.

I dont think it recognizes my hard drive.

THanks and will wait for any help

I would visit some HP forum. I loaded Windows7 beta on my HP2133 netbook and I had some problems with drivers but it loaded and I got the driver problems sorted.

I'm running Windows7 on my DV9700z, installed with no big issues, had to get chipset drivers from HP after install, and video drivers from nVidia. laptop has been running flawlessly ever since. Currently downloading Windows7 RC, which will be installed over the top.

I would test it with another XP or Vista installation DVD...if it installs or attempts tp then your Win7 DVD is probably borked....
