remove IE7 icon from Vista desktop
Any suggestions you all can provide would be greatly appreciated. Have done the Google search and tried any number of things, none of which have worked. Am I missing something here? Just installed Vista and can't remove IE7 icon from my desktop as I did in XP. Would seem that the only alternative in Vista is a registry edit. Is that likely?

You should be able to right click on the icon and then just choose delete if you are just trying to remove the icon from your desktop.

Okay, that was just TOO easy. Sry about that. I'm embarrassed. My recollection was that that did not work in earlier versions of Windows. Right mouse clicking and deleting meant removing IE, not just the desktop icon.
