Where do I turn on File Ext in Windows 7

Hi

I can't find where I opt to make file extensions visible in Windows 7RC.

I tend to have files of different types with the same name (for example Indesign and PDF) so it's kind of confusing to not have the extensions show.

Thanks for the help.

Mike

I would assume (don't have win 7) that it would be in control panel > folder options > view > and uncheck hide extensions.

Hi

Thanks I'll check it out.
I installed Windows 7 direct from XP just a couple of days ago. I have never use Vista so I'm having a little trouble finding things.

Ps.

I found it, just noticed the search option in the upper right corner of Control Panel.
Without that I couldn't find folder options.

Thanks again...

Mike
