How do you create a "Restore Point" in Win 7?
Hi
How do I manually create a restore point in Windows 7RC? When I access system restore I see only the option to restore no button that says "Create a restore point" or any thing like that. It has created a few on it's own but it doesn't always create one before installing new software. Mike |

Control Panel > System > System Protection(top left list)
A GUI opens similar to the System window that you open in control panel in XP, at the bottom of the window you will see a 'Create' button. What ever you do don't use the Create System Image in Maintenance, I did that once and it took up 49gig on a spare harddrive, bearing in mind the OS install and the few files I have with W7 only amounts to about 10gig.
