Boom Windows 7 iso won't verify

I've burned the iso twice now and neither one will verify, is this normal? I used Infrarecord and ImgBurn to burn them.

Also, what is the media type and brand that you are using?

This could also just be a bad download. Have you tried to redownload the ISO and burn it again?

Was it burned as a boot disc? I didn't when I downloaded and had to fix that to get it to boot.

Yeah, I burned at 1X

Philips DVD media

I was able to verify the Ubuntu iso (which I haven't tried to install yet)

I tried to verify it against the origianl iso I DL'd, wouldn't verify that way either. I didn't verify the actual iso I DL'd, not sure how to do that

Strange thing is that it booted up fine. I was deperate, said screw it, and threw it in there and to my surprise it booted up. I would still like to know why it wouldn't verify for future burns, just incase I don't get so lucky again.
