vista question ??

ok I have used win add-remove to get rid of all the crapware before I burn a backup image. My question is when I go to the garbage bin it is not there. where do the uninstalls go. I do not want to burn a new image until I know they are gone.

Thanks for any help

They go away.

I would run http://www.pcdecrapifier.com/ on it. That works well for a new store bought computer.

Then use ccleaner to get rid of all temp files, and clean the registry. Then make your image.

Thanks !!!! Are you sure they are safe ? I am sure you would not recommend them unless others have. What am I downloading ? are they easy to remove when you are done ?

I've used pcdecrapifier on my dads laptop when he got it. I basically goes through all the installed stuff, and lets you decide if you want to delete them, or keep them. After it was finished, I just uninstalled using windows add/remove programs without problems.

CCleaner is a tool that most of us use. I would keep this on the computer since it works great at deleting temp files. Before you run the registry cleaner with it, I think it will ask you if you want to back it up, I would just for the first run.

don,t mean to be a pain but I have already add-removed the crap. I would just lik to know where in the hell it went. (thin air ??)I have never seen 200-300mb just leave on it,s owne in the 12 yrs I have been computing. I have been out of the loop(new stuff) for years.
