Running 32bit programs on 64bit PC

if I build a 64 bit machine with a 64 bit version of windows will I still be able to run 32 bit software on it? Thanks for your help.

Yes, 64-bit Windows has a 32-bit emulator thing.

Windows on Windows, allows you to run 32 bit apps on a 64 bit machine / OS

I am running Windows7 64bit but I have only two 64bit programs: IE8 and Lightroom2.4. All the rest of my programs are 32bit and run fine. I did have one program, a very old dictionary, that wouldn't install with Windows7 64bit and my Pentax raw codecs won't work in 64bit. That's it and neither was critical.
