Changing drive letter assignments

Hi guys,

Quick question, when I installed Win 7, my drive letter assignments are a total mess as it recognised my dvd-rw and internal card reader before my second hard drive.

I've figured out how to alter the drive letter for the hard drive, but cant work out how to change the drive letter assignments for the dvd drive and card reader.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction

Cheers

You can't change the drive letter of your boot drive after the installation of windows.

To fix it, you would have to unplug the card reader and install the O/S again, then plug it back in after the O/S is installed.

Hi Forceflow, that wasnt what i meant.

I've got a raid array of 2 drives (C:) with windows 7 installed and my programs etc on that, i've got another internal hard drive I use as a backup for documents, video footage etc which is the one I want to alter

The c: drive (array) is correct, i meant the blank drive which I want to be D: is now actually J: because drive letter assignments were given to my optical drive (D:) and card reader before the second hard drive (E: - I: ) if that makes sense. So i need to alter the drive letter assignments for the optical drive, my second (non-windows) hard drive, my card reader.

Cheers
