I have two desktops...

I have no idea how I did this, but I now have two Desktop icons in my user account (where it says documents, downloads, pictures, music, etc.). One is the actual desktop, while the other has another desktop icon inside of it, which has software shortcuts that used to be on my desktop inside of it.

When I try to delete the second desktop icon I get an error.

I'm running Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Anyone seen this before?

Well, the error message stopped after I rebooted, and it would then let me delete one of the desktop icons. Problem was it would only let me delete the one that didn't have the five desktop folders in it.

After some googling I found this guy who had the same exact problem, and the solution offered to him (hacking the registry, option 3 after the link offered in the solution post) worked for me. I didn't manually change the registry, but did the downloadable, automated solution. Can anyone verify that what I did was safe (nothing like asking after the fact...)? Everything seems to be working alright now...
