no thumbnails

I'm using 64bit Vista Home Premium. In "My Pictures" folder the pictures don't show up, just a generic thumbnail. In XP they showed a thumbnail of the picture. Can I fix this so I can see a thumbnail of the actual picture?
Thanks
trulad

I just found out that I had to change a setting in folder options. That did the trick.
