Deleting Program Files (x86)
I had Vista 32bit running on my system and installed Vista 64bit. This created a Windows Old folder and Programs Files (x86). I had to revert back to Vista 32bit because of some applications I use for work. Now in my Local Disk (C
there is both a Programs Files and the old Programs Files (x86) from the Vista 64 installation. To free HDD space occupied by the Programs Files (x86) I've tried deleting it but my computer is telling me, "You need permission to perform this action" I have done the following: 1. Right clicked on the Programs Files (x86) 2. Selected "Properties" from the menu that showed 3. Clicked "Security" on the Programs Files (x86) properties window 4. Clicked "Administrator" under Group or user names: 5. Clicked "Edit" next to To change permission... 6. In Permissions for Programs Files (x86) I'd clicked on Administrator and set the permissions to Allow. Now, when I click on Apply I get the following message, "Access is denied." Mind you I'm using a bootleg copy of Vista. My question is how can I delete this Programs Files (x86) folder? |

I wouldn't mind how to figure that out too?
Any chance you could post your findings... Cheers! |
