PC equivalent to iWorks or Appleworks

Hi, I need some PC related information. I'm a Mac user and need to "tutor" a newbie PC user regarding software programs.

I just did a layout for him, using my AppleWorks program (a combination of word processing, art and photo layout, databases).

I converted my layout to a .jpg image to show him what I'd done.

Can anyone tell me what to TELL HIM regarding which PC program to use, in order to paste the .jpg and (in needed) enlarge it to 8.5 x 11 so he can print out copies of the layout???

Thanks!

irfanview would be able to do it. That's the simple route.

Artweaver is another option, but that's starting to get into photoshop territory.

???

I may not be that familiar with PC programs, but I never heard of any of those you mentioned.

I was referring to programs that come "bundled" with Windows Vista or 7; not additional software.

There must be something already included in the Windows package on any new computer or laptop that would allow one to take a .jpg, paste it on a page and print it.....

MS Paint? There's really not much that's bundled that can do what you describe very easily.

What do you mean by "paste the .jpg and (in needed) enlarge it to 8.5 x 11"?

You can use the Windows Photo Gallery in Vista to print it .. it allows you to select the size of the print you want and the resolution (if supported by the printer).
