New o/s install & still able to use software on another drive?
I installed a fresh copy of Vista on a new HDD and wiped clean my old drive via a format.
I had about 50 PC games installed onto a separate third game HDD that I played with the old copy of Vista. I thought any registry entries for each game would be gone with the original copy of Vista, and the games would be prevented from working on the new o/s. I was planning to just reinstall any games I wanted to play onto the new o/s, and clean out the game drive of any old versions. To my surprise I can still play all my games from the new o/s with out having to install them again. Is this normal and will it mess anything up? I see of course there are no entries in Vistas uninstall list. Should I care?
