Adding Win 7 to HD with XP - Dual Boot

Hello....long time no see.

I have Win XP on a terra byte HD. PLENTY of room lieft on it. I want to install my new Windows 7 on the same drive. I would like the drive to be divided in two equal halves...or at least close to it.

Is that possible? During installation, will there be a way to partition the new section as being approximately 1/2 of entire drive? Do I have to have a third party software (I don't[ have any)

Ultimately, when I bootup, I should have a choice as to what OS I want to bootup to.

Thank you

Check the reply I just did in redvette's thread. I believe your assumptions are correct.
