Windows 7 Ip change
Can't seem to change my ip anymore after installing Windows 7 ult. I use to be able to change my ip all the time on Windows Xp where I would go into cmd prompt and release my connect and than go into control panel > Network and Internet > network and sharing center > than open up Local area connection status > go to properties change my internet protocol verision 4 than change it back my ip would always change but now when i do it on windows 7 it always stays the same driving me insane
 any ideas out there on what to try

For those of us that don't know-> why would you want to change your IP?
Does turning off the modem for a few minutes make any difference? |

no that does not work I really need to change my ip for various reasons but this seems like a windows 7 problem like I said it changes it on xp but not with windows 7
