Win 7 Disk Cleanup
I did a "custom" install of Win 7 over Vista as it was one of two choices in the Win 7 cd. I could either "upgrade" or do a "custom" install. The difference was that it said it would delete everything and give me a fresh install.
My question is what to do during a disk cleanup. It says there are 32 gig of the previous O/S's files. I thought what now? Would you let disk cleanup do it's thing? For some reason I erred on the side of caution and left them there. However, 32 gig is a lot of space. What do you think and what would you do? TIA Carl |

Hang tight for a second opinion...But, if I'm not mistaken, there is an option to roll/go back to where you were before the install if you wanted too.

That 32Gb is everything salvaged from your XP install. If you've already backed up your files from XP, there's no need to keep that file. You can let Disk Cleanup remove it.

As far as wanting to roll back to Vista, I don't think so. I'm enjoying Win7 and what it does. Carl |

Just in case if anyone was wondering, I let disk cleanup do it's job and have had no problems.
Since I don't want to roll back to Vista, everything is cool. Carl |
