Vista Install Issue
Long story short, my new computer had a trial version of Vista Home Premium on it, and I bought a CD containing Vista Ultimate. When I go to install it only allows a 'custom' install (i.e. write over everything), whereas I want to upgrade if possible. Anyone know a way to do this??
Thanks, Jon |

Why didn't you buy Windows 7?

A very good question... because I didn't think to, because I didn't realise it had been released (thought it was still in beta), and Vista was very cheap because of the introduction of 7 (plus I'm familiar with it, but have no idea whatsoever about 7).

Microsoft failed to put the label upside down so the Aussies could read it.

That's weird - you should be able to upgrade from anything to Ultimate. Doubt you can return it, but if you can (or can find somebody to buy it), go back and get Windows 7. It really is what Vista was supposed to be. I just installed it last night, and I've really enjoyed it so far.
