Where do my restore point go?
Hi
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium. I noticed that my restore points have vanished. I had several of them the last time I looked so what happened to them? Mike |

Course you know the part about you can only have so many and that old ones get repalced as new ones are created...
That being said - did you make ANY type of changes to the system? Adding Vista to an XP for example will wipe out all of XP's restore points. What happens when you manually create a restore point now? |

I was used to them disappearing when dual booting to XP but now I only have Windows 7 HP on a new computer.
I created a new restore point and it is still there but the last time I looked before they went missing I had 4 or 5 of them. Haven't made any major changes. Mike |

MikeMoss,
I am having similar problem. I have Win 7 pro installed with a clean install as my only operating system. Not long ago I had multiple restore points that coincided with program installs and sys updates. Last night, something had me check my restore points and although I have the process activated, my list of restore points were gone. I added a few points as I used my computer last night and this morning, I find I have no restore points. I am hoping to find a solution to this. |

Google: Missing Restore Points
to find many things to read... System Restore "restore points" are missing or deleted http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301224 Note If you have a multiple-partition computer with a drive that has almost no free space, this drive may cause System Restore to stop responding all across the system and to delete restore points. |
