protected operating system files are a no hide
I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium and it works good for me but for some reason in Windows Explorer all the protected system folders and files are showing and if I tick the "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" in folder options in the control panel it does nothing so I was wondering if I can fix this?
I haven't installed and messed with anything I can remember and virus scan shows nothing. |

There are Three Hide File options...Enable the others to see if that helps.

Give us a specific File Name and the name of the folder that you think should be hidden but isn't.

These are the files and folder that normally are hidden as I know of $Recycle.Bin, $AVG, Config.Msi, System Volume Information and files are bootmgr, config.sys, hiberfil.sys, io.sys, msdos.sys, pagefile.sys, autoexec.bat
