Vista internet explorer connection
My husbands computer is now also having problems with internet explorer connection and the computer sometime freezing up. He has also been getting a virus ad that pops up at start up and says he has a virus and we can not seem to get rid of the ad. He is not very knowledgeable about computers and the first time he clicked yes but then canceled when it started asking for money. I deleted cookies and temp internet today.

Which Anti-Virus pop up is it. Also when you get a pop up saying your infected with a virus click here to fix the problem, don't. It will cause the problem your having now. Just close out of it.

That is the so called virus. I would download Spybot S&D 1.6.2: Code:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ After you are done scanning, click "Fix Problems" Please come back and give the results.
