Can you set the time it takes the power button to act?
Hi
The power button on my Windows 7 PC has to be held in for 10 or 15 seconds before it will shut down. I only do this if it is frozen up and will not respond to the Control Alt Delete command. My friends new Windows 7 PC shuts down if you even look at the button. I have shut is off a couple of times when reaching under the desk for the DVD button. Is there a way to set the time delay for the shut down operation? Mike |

Almost every PC I've needed to to do a hard shutdown with the power switch would take 5-15 seconds for it to power down. Timing is probably a function of the motherboard and/or the BIOS.

You can usually adjust the shutdown time in the BIOS.
